Peak Performance & Performance Anxiety Therapy in Ewing, NJ
Your Ability Isn’t the Problem. The Noise Is.
The talent is there. The training is there. But when it counts, nerves, self-doubt, or overthinking can get in the way of what usually comes naturally. This work isn’t about pushing harder or piling on more pressure. It’s about quieting the noise so you can feel focused, trust yourself, and let your ability come through the way you know it can.

When Your Own Mind Is the Thing Getting in the Way
You don’t have a talent problem. You have a noise problem. It can sound like overthinking every move until what used to feel natural feels forced, or self-doubt creeping in right when you need to trust yourself most. Nerves before a game, a meet, a presentation, or an exam. Pressure that’s started to take the joy out of something you used to love.
Here’s what I want you to know: the goal isn’t to white-knuckle through more pressure. When your nervous system is calm and your mind is clear, you don’t have to force anything. You get to show up as yourself, and your ability does what it already knows how to do.
HOW I CAN HELP
Training the Mental Side of Performance
Performance challenges are rarely about effort. They’re about what’s happening in your brain and nervous system under pressure. We work on that directly.
Neurofeedback (the heart of this work)
Neurofeedback trains your brain toward calm, focused states, the kind that keep you present instead of hijacked by nerves. It can sharpen concentration, steady the physical symptoms of anxiety, and help you find that in-the-zone feeling more reliably.
Relational Talk Therapy
Self-doubt usually has a story behind it. Together we unpack where the pressure and the inner critic come from, so confidence comes from a genuine place instead of forced positivity.
EMDR
When a specific past experience, a public failure, an injury, a tough loss, still flares up under pressure, EMDR helps your brain process it so it stops hijacking the present.
We’ll build the right combination for you, always aimed at easing the anxiety and helping you feel comfortable, not adding intensity.
MORE ABOUT NEUROFEEDBACK
How Neurofeedback Helps You Find Your Flow
Every athlete and performer knows the feeling of being in the zone: calm, focused, effortless. The problem is it can feel impossible to summon on demand, especially when nerves take over.
That in-the-zone state has a signature in the brain, and neurofeedback helps train your way into it more reliably. It’s non-invasive and evidence-based, with no medication and nothing painful, essentially a workout that teaches your brain to find focus and stay there.
When nerves spike, your nervous system flips into a stress response: heart racing, mind scattered, body tight. Neurofeedback helps your brain settle into a regulated, focused state more easily, so pressure throws you less and presence comes more naturally.
My approach is symptom- and standards-based. Rather than staring at brain maps or chasing numbers, we focus on how the nerves and overthinking actually affect you in your sport, your work, or your studies, and we track real change you can feel. The point isn’t to become a machine. It’s to clear the anxiety so the real you, the one who’s already capable, can show up.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Many athletes, students, and professionals use neurofeedback to improve focus, manage performance anxiety, and access a calmer, more present state. Rather than adding intensity, it helps your brain settle into the focused state where your existing ability can come through more reliably.
-
Overthinking is usually a sign your nervous system has flipped into a stress response. We work on calming that directly through neurofeedback, while using talk therapy to address the self-doubt underneath, so you feel settled enough to trust yourself in the moment.
-
There’s overlap, but my approach combines the mental skills side with neurofeedback, which trains the brain and nervous system directly. It’s less about pep talks and pushing harder, and more about easing the anxiety so you can perform freely.
-
Yes. I work with athletes and high achievers age 14 and up, helping younger performers manage pressure and self-doubt in a supportive, low-pressure way at a stage when those habits really matter.
